Um, I believe it's spelled Verizon, and try sending the tone 2 or 3 times right in a row. Verizon is set to block messages with any type of music file attached to them, but if you send it 2 or 3 times right in a row, it gets around that "block" and atleast one of the messages makes it to the phone.
Not promising it will work, but it has worked for me thus far.
