# Posted: 24 Nov 2007 20:44:55 I know that on my phone, Samsung SCH A850 I can't save as a ringtone. Verizon blocks it. |

# Posted: 29 Nov 2007 22:05:12 You can't set ringtones from the My Sounds folder - which is why you have a my sounds folder, and a my ringtones folder. You have to tell the phone to save the sound from the text message as a ringtone. If the phone doesn't give you this option, then you can't do it. Only recourse is to do it manually, using a program called Bitpim (google it) and either a usb cable, or a bluetooth dongle (although I'm not sure the 850 supports bluetooth IIRC). |

# Posted: 19 Dec 2007 15:19:13 Try it again, as it should work now. Verizon has, in a way, stopped blocking content from sites such as this. I could go into a long explanation as to why, but it's not relevant. One thing to try though - try sending the ringtone or picture to your phone a few times, in sucession. As in, click the phone icon (as if sending a tone), and when it says Sent OK click the send button again, and then one more time. This will result in you getting your desired content - sometimes more then once. Keep in mind, each message deducts from your plan allowance (if you have one). If you don't, it costs a quarter every time a message is sent to your phone. Keep in mind, from this site it's not a text - its a pix message. |
