Some phones have the ability to save sounds attached to text messages as ringtones or sounds, and some have the ability to ONLY save it as a sound. When you receive the text message, select options, and in the menu that pops up it should give you the option to Save As Ringtone or Save Sound. You want to save it as a ringtone, obviously. *note* If you save a sound attached to a text as a ringtone, and then want to send that ringtone to someone else, you can not. This is disabled on most Verizon phones. However, if you save the sound in My Sounds, you can send that to someone else via pix message. Hope this helps! ~Steve |

I have a Motorola W370 and when I download ringtones it gives me the option to save as ringtone, but it also saves the ringtone into my sounds. When I look in my sounds and choose a sound it has the option to apply as ringtone. |
