Crostel forum / US Cellular (new!) / Problems recieving ringtones |

# Posted: 25 Oct 2007 16:12:18 Is anyone else having problems receiving ringtones? I have downloaded them from here before and never had any problems but for the past two days I haven't been able to receive any. It says it's sending and sent ok, but I never receive the message for download! |

# Posted: 6 Nov 2007 06:06:43 hi, your phone manualshould say how to store the ringtones. there are lots of people are using your phone to get ringtones here. let me know if you still have trouble or ask someone with your phone how to do it. -doug |

# Posted: 10 Nov 2007 20:45:42 Sorry, TracFone[Verizon] means you have TracFone with a Verizon subcarrier. That cannot recieve content from Crostel. -doug |

# Posted: 20 Nov 2007 16:54:55 I am tryo to use my suncom phone the LG CG225 to download a Christmas song. However, I receive the text message but when I try and access the site to get the tone it says Requested page cannot be displayed. I went to the wap.cropstel.com on my phone's internet site too. It said the same thing. I have never had problems in the past with downloading with my old suncome phones, but now I have a new one and it is really getting on my nerves. What can I do? |

# Posted: 23 Nov 2007 09:49:25 I have a verizon Lg phone and have never had problem with receiving ringtones. But yesterday I sent 10 ringtones to my phone all said sent OK. But I just received 1 out of the 10 and the one I received is maybe the #4 out of the 10 that I sent to myself. Can anyone help me? |

# Posted: 23 Nov 2007 10:06:07 Verizon has been very unreliable lately. Many Verizon subscribers have been complaining about delayed ringtone delivery across the internet. I am starting rating system for all the carriers so people can know who to signup with before they get stuck in a 2 year plan with a provider with poor service. # Posted: 29 Nov 2007 22:22:13 Lol so quick to put Verizon down - yeah Tmobile has the cheapest plans - might want to check out the coverage map though - Tmobile will give you tons of minutes for a cheap price - why? Good luck using the phone for what it is first and foremost - a phone! As far as being stuck for two years - almost every carrier gives you a "grace period - often 15 days" to try a phone and the service out - and if you aren't happy, you can return it, terminate the contract, and move on. No being "stuck", no termination fee - however it is up to the consumer to be proactive on it, not wait until they come across a ringtone site and then become disappointed with the carrier because they can't do something for free that the carrier never stated you could do in the first place. Poor service? Best coverage out of all of the wireless providers - keep in mind I'm not pro or anti any carrier - I form my opinion based on fact. Verzion has the best network, followed closely by the AT&T/Cingular debacle, followed by sprint. Now - Verizon nickel and dimes you for everything - but, if you know how to read fine print, they tell you they are going to do so. What it boils down to - no carrier is better or worse then the other - what matters is what works for you. There are some places Verizon works and Cingular doesn't, and places where Cingular works and Verizon doesn't. Best bet is to try each one, and see what works for you - not to make a snap decision about a carrier in general because you couldn't send a 30 second snippet of a copyrighted song to your phone for free. There are other ways of getting ringtones on your phone - not just through this website. Look on sites like howardforums.com, phonescoop.com, wirelessarena.com - each of these has forums, and each forum has atleast 10 posts telling you how to get stuff on your phone - all you have to do is follow the instructions. |
