Just signed up for a new account. Test message sent via the "Stop - check text messaging before downloading ringtones" thingy in my crostel profile/My Space - site says sent OK, but never shows on my phone. Ringtone download never arrives too. If I try texting myself from the message area on my profile, an orange text "undefined" just sorta appears on the page slightly above and to the left of the text entry area and then nothing happens.

However, an email sent from GMail arrives fine when sent to <same_10digit_phone_number_as_in_my_profile>@mobile.mycingular.com . Crostel originated messages also work if I use the sms messaging thing up there in the left area under the "Crostel mobile space" logo with that same 10digit phone number.

Is there a code error or a different method being used for sending messages via the profile as compared to via the sms messaging form on the left top of every web page on the site? Why would one work and not the other for the same phone number?

BTW, I'm on TracFone with the underlying carrier being Cingular GSM. Using Firefox 1.5.0.9 browser, Win XP.

You will see a message on your page under the ringtone gadget in the top left part of the page. The link looks like this: "You have 2 unread messages" Click it to see your message replies.

Hi Doug, any reply for the original post in this thread? :-)

It appears something has changed since the original issue - I can now send myself a txt msg
using the middle white box "txt me" form on the page, but the STOP - test message thing on
the right still does not work. See image below and link to the full size image:

Hi donv I have been working on your problem and I really appreciate your detailed problem descriptions. Last night I fixed the "write me" box. The test tool on the right should also be working.... Please try to logout, login and then redo the test. Thanks- doug

Thanks for your efforts. Tried the log out/back in and resend via the "STOP"
dialog - still no message shows up. Left message area works properly.
White box 'txt me' reaches me with a message, but spaces in the message are
encoded as "%20" instead of a space.

Hey Doug... noticed there are code changes on the site since my last visit, but the problem I was having still appears to be the same. Still get a perfect message from the grey background sms message box, a good (but with "%20"s instead of any spaces) message from the white box on my profile, and no message when trying the test link in my profile.

Tried setting the carrier to both TracFone and the underlying carrier I'm on, Cingular/GSM. Same result on both.
