Its still not working. I also can't see any ringtones/realtones on the site, and I can't test my phone. What's happened to this site? It WAS the best one out, but now it's dysfunctional.

Maggie, can you try wap.crostel.com from your phone? you can get the ringtones there as well. In the meantime, I am looking at your problem. i did saw a lot of errors comming in from verizon in the last day. Just so you know. Crostel is not the only company having trouble with Verizon. All ringtone sites are complaining about having verizon problems just like us. That does nott mean we will stop trying. thanks for your patience :) -doug

Hi Maggie, I have confirmed that the problem is with Verizon. All the free mobile sites are having the same problem now. Verizon is dropping the message or delaying it for several days. In my opinion, if you are in a contract with Verizon you should be able to switch to another carrier without paying the $200 early termination fee because Verizon is blocking your content delivery. I heard from some call center reps at verizon that they are getting a lot of complaints about this. I think your best bet is to switch to t-mobile or even Att. -doug

While you are entitled to your opinion, unfortunately it's not practical.

Keep in mind - the call center reps don't make the decisions as to what is blocked and what isn't - your trying to send free ringtones to a phone that is on a network of a company who makes 80 percent of it's profit from GET IT NOW, a over the air multimedia service (ringtones, games, pics, etc). Why would they allow you to do something for free, when they can charge you for it? Sucks to be the customer, I agree, however from a business standpoint, blocking the free stuff makes sense. Doesn't mean it's morally right, but such is the business world.

One more thing to think of before you go recommending that people spend 200 bucks to term contracts so they can get free tones - there are other ways to get tones on phones besides this website. Wonderful little tool called Bitpim - google it. It's 175 to term your contract with Verizon, and actually I think even that has changed. They are pro-rating the termination fee depending on how long you've been in contract with them. Also, what happens when someone switches from Verizon so they can get free ringtones, only to find out that the provider they just switched to doesn't work in areas that their old phone did? Good times. Granted a person that would switch carries because someone on a free ringtone site told them to isn't the smartest move in the world, but I used to work for Verizon Wireless - as an instore technician. You'd be surprised how many times people would ask "Why doesn't the phone have a dial tone?" Or the particularly popular - my phone won't charge - only to find out they are plugging the charger in the headset port. LG 3200 - was a very common thing. Oddly - every phone comes with a manual. Based on that, I'd be careful before you recommend someone change carriers because they can't get something for free. Just my opinion.

While you make some good points, Drummer, notice that Doug said that you would *not* have to pay the early term fee as they are blocking content to your phone, which I assume is a violation of the contract. Wouldn't know, I don't use Verizon.
