# Posted: 16 Oct 2007 11:58:11 Help please, don't know much about this. Have a razr v3, no internet access, only text messaging. All I have is a cable running from my cell to computer. Can I get these ringtones on here without having them sent to my cell? Is there any free software to use for cable? Any help would be appreciated...thanks |

# Posted: 17 Oct 2007 20:24:33 usually people can get the ringtones even without internet access as an auto download. i see that you took the ringtone test and could not get any downloads. .. since we do not support cable downloads, i think you will need to call att and get internet for your phone. sorry... |

I thought perhaps they have difficulty with large-sized attachments; I didn't realize they can actually tell if it's a ringtone. I tried downloading ringtones yesterday to my phone and successfully received 2 out of 4 ringtones that I created. |

# Posted: 31 May 2008 10:58:20 also, do you know how verizon knows which messages to block? Can they tell that it's a sound attachment? Or is it based on the filesize of the message? Or do they scan through the filenames for artists' names? I guess what I'm asking is, is there any way to get around their block? |

# Posted: 2 Jun 2008 13:13:45 verizon must filter by filename containing famous artists' names. I renamed my ringtone files to not include the artist and they arrived at my phone within 30 seconds. unbelievable! |

# Posted: 3 Jun 2008 10:27:34 they do scan for profanity in the message but I don't know about song or band names. in this case- it might just have been a coincidence. it seems like verizon has lots of random errors because sometimes a ringtone will not go through and then 2 minutes later , if you resend, it will. best advice is to change to cingular or t-mobile when your contract ends. |
