About 1/3 of the ring tones I request never show and the ones that do take quite a while to get to my phone. They all say "sent ok".. what gives?

When you send them to your phone, send them 2 or 3 times, right in a row. I do this with mine (I have the lg 9400) and they show up within minutes. If I only send them once, they very rarely show up, if at all.
I think what happens is when you send the same tone like 3 or 4 times in a row within seconds of each other, the "filtering" software Verizon uses can't catch all of them, which allows the tone to actually make it to your phone.
Can't say it is a guaranteed fix, but it's worked for me.
