# Posted: 21 Jun 2007 23:28:46 Does anybody know how to change your type of phone and carrier and number on the site? Is this possible even? I had (have) a Net10 Motorola V176. I just got a Motorola Razr V3i that is with AT&T. I keep trying to update my profile but it won't take. Plus i can't seem to find a way to change the type of phone. Either I'm doing something wrong or the site is just buggy tonight, LOL |

# Posted: 17 Jan 2008 19:37:35 I've had no luck in changing my phone from a tracfone to what i use now profile-wise. I hit submit and it's a dead link. Doesn't even do anything. It's like there's something missing site-wise. All it does is toss me back to my old phone number. Kinda a downer. |

# Posted: 18 Jan 2008 01:07:28 aeris_reborn, I had the same problem a few days ago with my husbands phone when he changed numbers. Just like you said when you hit submit it didn't do anything. I finally had to set up a new account for it. Used a new user name and had set up a new yahoo email address , but at least he can download from here again. There was a pic he wanted and that was the only way I knew how to do it. Something is definitely wrong with the update profile page. |

My old phone type is there as a link that doesn't really do anything. There isn't a way to change it on the page or in my profile settings. Or at least there is nothing obvious to do that with. |

# Posted: 3 Mar 2008 20:34:02 OK, what I fixed was the ability to just change your phone number... To change your phone MODEL (say from Motorola v176 to a Cingular Nokia 1221) you should just retake the PHONE TEST (also on the left side of the page). You must successfully open the link at the end of the test to have your phone model changed. I hope that helps... :) |

You can also get downloads from wap.crostel.com (from your mobile phone only) T-Mobile is pretty good about not blocking ringtone downloads but we include the link for other carriers who aggressively block user content downloads - i'm not naming names *cough* Verizon *cough* ;) |

# Posted: 13 Apr 2008 15:50:24 The phone test does no good at all if you are trying to change the TYPE OF PHONE. Let me clarify: I started out with a Motorola V176 with Net10. I got a Motorola Razr V3i, which I put on with AT&T. When I tried to change the info in my profile to the new phone, I was ONLY able to switch the carrier (Net10 to AT&T) and the phone NUMBER. I was NOT able to change the type of phone itself. Until I can get the PHONE TYPE changed, there is no way to DO the phone test, as it will NOT work using the new phone NUMBER with the old phone TYPE. |
