This is driving me crazy!! I have a motorola v170. I just got it, and I am trying to get new ringtones. They are going to my phone fine, except that they are only about 2 seconds long, and then quit. Why is it doing this?? I have tried about 10 tones so far, and all have done that!!
LOL, ALL OF THEM!! I have tried at least 19 different ones, including ones that i uploaded myself, also, i just got one from tracfone's page, and it did the same thing. I called them and they said that they had been having problems with that ringtone, and would refund my money. But then why is it happening to every tone I download?? AAARRRGGG!!!!!
What is happening is that the ringtone preview that you hear when you click the speaker and select "sms motorola" is longer than the ringtone that is actually sent to the phone.
I am working a fix so the preview will be the same length as what is sent to your phone. This way, if the ringtone is too short, you will know before you send it.
