i went ot the menu and went to other settings and network and pressed avaliable network and t -mobile came up what does that mean? does it mean i can get t- mobile and get realtones?and go on the internet?

No, the TracFone v170 only works with the monophonic 'motorola sms' ringtones. Pictures and Mp3 ringtones are not supported by that phone.
