# Posted: 2 Dec 2007 16:06:47 Hi, I can receive regular texts on my Nokia 2126 from Tracfone, and I've tried sending a test text from here and that works fine too. But when I send a ringtone,(I click on "got an older phone" then I click on Nokia sms) I get message failed. But I receive a text on my phone, and when I check it, it says "Premium messaging to this mobile number has been blocked. Only the account owner may request a change to this setting with his/her wireless service provider" The thing is, it's a Tracfone, so there isn't a wireless service provider. For my phone number, tracfone uses the Verizon network, but I'm not a Verizon customer, so I can't give Verizon a call and say hey, I want to receive ringtones. Anyone no if there is something on the phone that I can do to allow the messages to come through or anything I can do to get ringtones? Thanks |

# Posted: 6 Dec 2007 15:10:56 OK, you need to contact Tracfone's support number (available on the website)then, if you're *able* to understand your help person and after hearing ma'am 100 times, being put on hold to contact their supervisor for further assistance, putting in numbers and then testing your phone, you may or may not be able to receive texts. I've had bad issues in regards to tracfone, who suddenly decided the entire 90 mile radius around us can't send or receive text messaging (we can, i tried on a 2126) You *may* need to call more than once, though, from experience. I've been calling 3-4 times a week to get an issue resolved and it hasn't been. |
