Crostel forum / TracFone / phone cannot receive messages from crostel

I have an lg200c tracfone, and i cannot receive the test text message for the phone test. I know my texting works just fine, I can send and receive messages from other people. If I send a ringtone with the nokia sms option, I receive the text, but cannot do anything with it. Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

I cannot recieve the test text message either for the phone test. I don't know why. If others can get in, why can we get in? It makes no sense what so ever.

I have motorola tracfone w260 and the phone test didnt work, I too can send and recieve text messages whats up with that. dont they support my tracfone

just made a change for your phone to use @cingularme.com instead of @mms.mycingular.com.

Let me know if that helps.

First take the ringtone phone test, then try a picture, then a polyphonic ringtone. (Regular voice ringtones do not work with tracfone because either they block them or the phones are not capable.)

I have never seen tracfone/alltel combination work... not surewhy, but alltel seems to block it from getting to the tracfone.
A very small percentage of tracfones use alltel as the subcarrier and that is what is happening inyour case.. sorry

yeah , i know how you feel. it's a bummer to get a new phone and only later learn that they block the ringtones.
