The v176 has only 3MB of space for add ons, how much is that compared to other phones?

Hi,
I would say that is a pretty small amount of space for a wap phone. Here is a list of typical media sizes here on Crostel:
Realtones ringtones on Crostel are about 1 Mega byte
Polyphonic Ringtones are 5K bytes
Monophonic Ringtones are 256 bytes
Mobile pictures (thumbnail size) are about 500K bytes.
