I tried a realtone just for kicks on my W375. It downloaded fine but says "this file type is not supported by this handset" Any Ideas as to what I need to be looking at for types that are supported ?

it is strange that you have a w375 but your phone identifies itself as a v171? did you used to have a v171?

also, in the manual it says you can only download MP# tones from the phones browser, which ive tested and it does work...but costs like 30 mins per tone....

Yeah I got it figured out. You can only download ringtones from the browser, which only goes to the net10 site. It costs 30 minutes for a real tone and 20 minutes for a polyphonic tone.

yea that blows, hopefully someone figures out a way around this problem, because not only is it expensive but they dont have that many good tones to pick from.

For Net10 and Tracfone: ringtones may not be working until Tuesday. We have delivery issue that will affect older phones on Net10 and Tracfone until Tuesday... dedz looks like he is pretty close, because he got 3 green check marks on his MOT-W375. There should be a way with that phone because it is reaching the wap.crostel.com site ok.

im not a teckie or anything, but it seems like net10 has made this phone so it cant get free ring tones. doesnt seem to be able to recieve tones in messages, and you also cannot send a ring tone in a message like the older phones. the only way ive seen so far to get tones is to get online and has them sent to you, hopefully there is a way around this because net10 charges to much for tones and they dont have much to choose from :(

What about pictures? Are they working on the W375? If pictures work, then I think we can get ringtones and realtones (real-audio) to work.

It looks like you can receive the text messages from crostel. Have you been able to receive pictures from crostel on the W375?

I can receive pictures from this site on my W375, but MP3's are blocked and when I send it as a .wav it sounds horrible and doesn't give me the option to "save as " the way a picture does.

Net10 is like TracFone. The only way to get MP3 realtones is to buy them from Net10 and TracFone.

They have everything and I mean every way possible to download them blocked except from there own site.

I finally gave in and bought 1 cause that's the main reason I bought the W370 in the first place to be able to download MP3 tones. It didn't cost as much as I had expected, just 10 minutes and that included the price of the ringtone and the time it took to download it.

I finally got what I wanted, a MP3 tone but I still hope someone will figure out a way to download them for free. Someone has got to be smart enough to figure it out.

Ok, so I sent myself an email. I got the email. My phones email addy is "myphonenumber@mms.att.net"

I have just sent myself(phone) 2 emails with a 13 second mp3 attached. One email without a subject or body, and the other fully filled out. It has been almost 10 minutes, and so far, my phone has not chimed.

I will keep you all posted on this situation.
