I found out that you can only download polyphonic tones on the Tracfones. From what I read. I have a TracFone myself, the W370 I think? I tried to get a REALTONE/RINGTONE, but no luck. It dont work. And I dont wanna waste my time trying to get one of thoese sucky ass polytones that arnt real.

You can download MP3's for the W370, you just can't do it here or any where else that I've tried.

TracFone seems to be blocking any MP3 downloads from any site except there own

I can receive the message for the ringtone and when I open it to download it gives a forbidden error code.

I found another free ringtone site, Phonezoo and I get the same forbidden error code when I try to download from there also. This is what makes me believe that TracFone is blocking the downloads. They are wanting us to download from there site only and from what I have read it will cost about 30 units to download one MP3 song. I'm not paying that for 1 song.

Hopefully someone will figure out a way for us to download MP3's from Crostel for the W370 & W375's.

Maybe if all of us that bought a TracFone W370 that is suppose to support MP3 downloads called TracFone and complained enough they might get tired of the complaints and do something about it.

Come on everybody that has the TracFone W370 call TracFone and Bit-h them out about this.

Lets all demand what we paid for. We bought the phone and we should be able to download whatever we want. They would make more money if we could download whatever we want. We would have to buy more minutes to download the songs. They would still be making money, probably more. How many of us wants to pay close to $10 for a song?

The ringtones from NET 10 cost 2.90 Each, which is not that much more thqn other paid sites, they just don't have a very good selection. These phones are also equipped with a usb connection that has evidently been blocked as well.

Zbrogan,

You said the ringtones at Net10 only cost $2.90 each, but how much does it cost to download them?

The ringtones at TracFone are only $2.99 each, but they also charge for the amount of time it takes to download. That is the part that starts making it expensive.

Zbrogan,

I couldn't wait any longer to get a MP3 ringtone for the W370 so I finally gave in and got one from TracFone. They have some really good ones, they had my favorite song even.

Just wanted to let you know that it cost me 10 minutes, that included the price for the ringtone and the time it took to download it. So that put my cost around $3.30, not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

I guess when you want something bad enough you just give in and pay for it.
